Introducing the McGraw-Hill STEMIE's


Now that Hollywood has had their thing, it’s time for the teachers to have theirs!
It’s time to celebrate the EXTRAORDINARY!
The 2012 STEM Innovative Educator (STEMIE) awards.
Purpose:
-To recognize and reward innovative teachers.
-To give teachers a place to share their teaching ideas.
What is it?
Simply put, it’s a video contest for awesome teachers. A total of $25,000 from McGraw HIll Education goes to the winners!
What does the teacher have to do?
Step 1.Hand a student an iPhone, or other digital video recorder.
Step 2.The student records the teacher demonstrating some innovative teaching strategy.
Step 3. The teacher submits the video on mheonline.com/stemie, along with a lesson plan and answers to a couple questions.
Step 4. That’s it, there is no step 4!
