Technology Tip of the Week

Apple made news again on Thursday by announcing their partnership with publishers of education materials and their new iBooks for education.  9 iTextbooks are available currently through the program, and I am proud to say the 5 of those belong to McGraw-Hill.  The current titles available are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1 and Geometry and more to come.  This is more than twice the number of any other publisher.  They are more than just a book but filled with rich media in the text including video, animation, interaction and 3D manipulative diagrams.  They take full advantage of the iPad's unique features.

These new iTextbooks add another way for McGraw-Hill to make great, research based content available digitally.  Take a look when you get a chance by following the link: http://www.apple.com/education/ibooks-textbooks/gallery.html or by visiting the iBookstore and downloading a sample chapter onto your iPad.
Sample chapters are available for download free. You will need to update your iBooks app to the latest before it will let you download the sample chapter.
